“…the difference is why you drink.”
My goodness. A tone poem. In 3-D.
Also, reminded me greatly of every powerpoint presentation in every outside consultant management seminar I’ve ever been forced to sit through. Great graphics, marvelous voice, perfect tone, excellent pacing, no take-away meaning whatsoever. Except for “why you drink.”
My favorite was a mandatory seminar on sexual harassment in the workplace (don’t ask, wasn’t me) conducted by a 20-something stunningly beautiful young woman with long legs, a wasp waist and DD implants, outfitted in high heels, a too-small scoop-neck white blouse and black mini with matching lace push-up bra. I guarantee that nothing she said registered with any of the men in the audience.
When she first took the stage I thought it was a put-on, but no, totally serious. After the seminar, part of a corporate retreat on Maui (hey, they paid my way), she came down to the pool in an itsy-bitsy bikini and spent the afternoon dragging the bait back and forth in front of a hundred drunken high-testosterone salesmen who were far from home and wife. Gotta wonder what exactly was going on inside that head of hers. Nothing healthy, I believe.
